Guest Room Accent Wall: In Progress

Just a short post, since I'm holding my sleeping baby and might as well write for the first time in weeks 😄

We just finished the accent wall in our guest/office. I despised this room...it's the only room that still has boogered up walls and the original yellowish-semigloss.

Now, a day of work, a box full of nails, and a few boxes of vinyl plank flooring...I'm seeing the light!!

It's pretty simple, and the vinyl planks are not very expensive. These are "woodland oak" from Home Depot.

Order of Events:

-Clean your wall
-Stick the planks on, push nice and hard
-Nail in the corners and in the center (the adhesive is NOT strong enough on it's own) (could possibly use a liquid nail, but I wanted the nails to show)
-Use an exacto knife CAREFULLY to make cuts (I cut some pieces in half to make the staggered look starting at one end)
-Voila!!

Before: Ugly Dingy

After: Cute Statement Wall!

Decor to come soon!!
