Welcome to Our Renovation!

We are just a few short days away from homeownership, WOW! It's been quite a crazy ride for me and my husband, Troy. We have changed areas throughout Florida, lost houses to bidding wars, had financing fall through (the night before a closing!), but finally we kept steady on our path and will be signing papers in 3 short days! Exciting but it does feel a bit like the point of no return. All this Pinteresting will finally lead to renovations, paint colors will actually be put on walls, and hopefully projects will be completed as simply as they seem online (yeah right). I wanted to start this blog as a way to compile our journey of making our first home into our family castle of perfection. It doesn't matter how big or small, we looked at homes of all shapes and sizes, if you put your personal touches on it, a home takes on a whole new feel. We hope that some of our experiences help with your own home projects! Or family and friends, we hope this blog connects us all near and far, and gives you a gaze into our latest projects! Mostly, I hope this blog is a collection of memories that our daughter Ailee can look back on and reminisce about her first home. Pictures and stories shared of her mommy and daddy trying their best to make a home as beautiful as possible (on a budget) for her to grow and learn in. We will introduce the house and get some pictures of the task at hand next week after we have possession. It was tenant occupied for many years so who knows what fun is in store, eek!
